Time travel explained

A telephone conversation may help illustrate the phenomenon of time travel. The time it takes for voice signals to reach from the caller to the person on the other end of the line and vice-versa, actually defines the time by splitting it into segments which we may arbitrarily call "past", "present" or "future". It may not sound much to the ordinary phone user like you and me. But if the callers are situated on different sides of the globe and in different time zones then one of them may indeed happen to be in a time zone removed by several hours in relation to the location of the individual on the other end of the line. So that, one person may be literally living in the past (several hours past) while the other guy, in the future! This happens although these two people may indeed be reacting to their conversation, both, indeed, in real time.
