Dr Julian Barbour has presented a concept that eliminates the idea of traveling through time as in moving through a distance reckoned in time and space. The Philadelphia Experiment had actually utilized a kind of "special effect" made possible by introducing into the time tunnel a walkway or pavement to create an illusion to the time traveler that he was actually standing on solid ground and walking through until he reached the year 1983 coming from the year 1963 and before that, 1943. This was to prevent the time traveler from going nuts the moment he'd lose his bearings when outside the space-time continuum by retaining a familiar reference point known to us in the ordinary world.
The concept proposed by physicist Julian Barbour quite fills all gaps in all points in the life of animate and inanimate objects.
